QUESTIONS BEFORE YOU START
What Should You Know About SynthID Removal?
Find clear answers about watermark types, processing quality, pricing and file handling before starting a task.
Is SynthID only used in images, or also in video, audio and text?+
SynthID technology covers all four. Image and video watermarks are embedded in visual content, audio watermarks in sound, and text watermarks in statistical patterns of word selection. A method for one type is not a universal solution. The upload control lists the formats accepted by this workspace.
Can I remove SynthID from Gemini or Nano Banana images?+
You can submit supported JPG, PNG or WebP exports for watermark processing. Results vary by file; accepting an image from Gemini or Nano Banana does not guarantee that its watermark will become undetectable.
Does cropping or removing metadata remove SynthID?+
SynthID is designed to survive common edits such as cropping and compression. Removing metadata alone does not establish that an embedded watermark is gone. Keep an original copy and evaluate the processed output separately.
What is the difference between SynthID and C2PA?+
SynthID embeds a signal in content. C2PA Content Credentials record provenance in signed metadata. Clearing metadata and processing an embedded watermark are separate operations; neither proves the outcome of the other.
Will processing affect image quality or other content details?+
Processing can change content. For images, inspect faces, text, edges and texture. When evaluating other media, check motion, sound or written meaning as appropriate. Do not assume that a similar-looking result is lossless.
How can I check whether SynthID is still detected?+
Where a compatible detector is available, check both the original and processed content using the same tool and keep the test date and results. A failed check or an undetected original cannot establish successful removal. This workspace does not provide a verified SynthID detection score.
Does processing guarantee that AI labels will disappear?+
No. Platforms may use watermark checks, metadata and other classifiers. A not-detected result does not prove human authorship or guarantee how another platform will label the content.
Is SynthID Remover free to use?+
File previews and local image metadata cleanup are free, with no account required. Watermark processing requires sign-in and paid credits. The free preview shows your input file, not a free processed result.
Which files can I upload here?+
The upload workspace accepts JPEG (JPG), PNG and WebP files up to 25 MiB and 50 megapixels each. Check the requirements next to the file selector before submitting.
Can I process multiple images in a batch?+
Yes. Select several supported files and process them in a serial queue. Each image uses one credit. Stopping the queue does not cancel a task already submitted.
Do files stay on my device?+
Previews and local metadata cleanup run in your browser. Paid watermark processing uploads your image through our server to the processing provider. See the privacy policy for file handling details.
What happens if processing fails?+
A confirmed failed task releases its reserved credit. An unconfirmed task can retain a reservation while its outcome is checked. Recheck the same task instead of submitting another copy; a completed result with a quality warning still uses a credit.
How long are results available?+
Processing time varies with the file and queue. Download links are temporary, generally around one hour. Follow the expiry shown on the task and save your result promptly.
Can I use processed content in my projects?+
Use content you own or have permission to modify, and review the output before including it in your work. Processing does not grant ownership or remove disclosure obligations that apply to your project.
